About NBECHSLocated on the campus of Nuview Bridge Early College High School and Riverside Community College-Moreno Valley, the Early College High School allows students the opportunity to earn an associate's degree at no cost to students within five or fewer years of starting high school. The program is part of a national initiative to launch 70 Early College High Schools over five years, which began in Fall, 2004. The Early College High School Program is supported by funds from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. This unique high school college collaborative is designed for students to enhance their traditional high school classes with college classes. In the heart of Riverside Community College, Moreno Valley, the Early College High School with its limited student enrollment, small class size, and supportive relationships, inspires and empowers students to succeed in learning and in life. Benefits of Early College High SchoolThe main emphasis is to provide students with more access to rigorous course work while in high school and prepare students early for college-level academic and social expectations. Additional benefits include motivating more low-income and first-generation college students to see themselves as "college material," and to reduce family tuition costs. About this websiteThis website was created by a former student at NBECHS named Michael Brook. Now a computer science major at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Michael is an accomplished website developer, creating this website, 3rlatex.com, convert4me.com, Michael's personal website at michaelcbrook.com, and a new start-up company at talkaddict.com, which provides a message routing service.
About two years ago, I created this website for NBECHS in order improve on a majorly outdated website run by the district. This website was made to allow staff to freely edit the website without the need for any programming experience, using a custom user interface, all of which I created completely myself (for free). This website took about two months to create.
To make a long story short, the school chose not to use this website (after they had asked me to create it), and now it is sitting here collecting dust...
If you would like to know more about me or my websites, please email me at michaelcbrook at msn dot com. If you are interested in buying this domain name or a pre-made, easily editable website, you may send me an email as well.
